Truffle Invest reaches agreement for Second land purchase.
February 2016At well over 100,000m2 (250 acres) we believe our second site will be one of the largest farms in Europe to be planted with tree saplings which have been inoculated with the spores of the Tuber borchii or Bianchetto truffle The land is on two levels, is flat and the soil a pale reddish colour. It has a tarmac entrance to both sides enabling good access for farm machinery and although we have not exchanged contracts yet the present owners are allowing us to prepare the land for tree planting.
Truffle Invest Buys 10,400m2 of Land for Truffle Cultivation.
January 2016The first plot of 10,400m2 in the Jalon Valley was cleared of grape vines and trees in October 2015 and is ready to be deep spiked to a depth of one metre. This is one of the most important steps in preparing the ground before planting the Black Burgundy or Summer truffle. .
